This week Lauren started something new... she coos! It is absolutely the most adorable little baby sound! Sometimes it sounds more like a gurgle, which is just as cute. She is such a good listener and can recognize our voices now. When we greet her she smiles, focuses in on our faces and stares, taking it all in! She'll listen to us talk baby talk to her, and then she'll coo and gurgle away. We go back and forth, carrying on a little baby talk and gurgling conversation. She seems to be excitedly learning about the world. We just love having Lauren and couldn't imagine our family without her. At her 2 month check-up she weighed 11 lbs 9 oz and was 24 1/4 inches long. She is in the 75th percentile for weight and the 90th percentile for height. She is sleeping at least 10 hours straight every night, sometimes longer if she is still sleepy after eating. All in all Lauren is a beautiful, healthy and happy baby and we absolutely adore her!
It felt like summer here the past few days! Lucky for us, we just had a new air conditioning unit installed last week and are staying nice and cool inside! (We truly suffered through the past 3 summers). Darin set up Trey's new slip & slide and the kids played on it all weekend.
Friday night Trent and I went and saw my youngest sister, Joylynn, perform in her first musical, "Bye, Bye Birdie". She did a wonderful job. The play was so much fun and Trent enjoyed it so much. After the play we went out to eat with both of my parents, Joy, Joanna and Bruin. She looked so cool in her costume and make-up. We were all so proud of Joy and the commitment she put into this play. Way to go Joy!

She's getting so big! I haven't seen her since her blessing! I am so excited that you guys got a new AC unit- not a moment too soon, with this weather. We are thankful for our new AC every day!! So glad you got to see Wicked, too! It's my favorite and once you see it, you're hooked!g
What a great baby girl. 10 hours at night, I can't imagine. I finally got the courage to let Colt cry through the night at 9 months since waking up with him 2-3 times a night was starting to make me crazy. Lauren sounds like a joy. What a cute little girl!
