Trent gets an award!

Trent received the Citizen of the Month award last week. I was so proud of him for earning this award, especially when his teacher, Mrs. Pickett, said he has deserved it all year long. He also received an award for having perfect attendance this year, which was really exciting for him. He wanted to go to the ice cream party SO BAD that he wouldn't miss a day of school for anything! Trent really loves school, he loves learning, loves his teacher, and says he knows he has the best class in the school! I am amazed at how much he has learned in 1st grade. He started just knowing the basics, and now he is reading chapter books and learning to multiply!

Trent's favorite subject is Math, he knows all of his addition and subtraction facts by memory and can complete up to 25 "hard ones" correctly in less than a minute! He is Mrs. Pickett's fastest student in all her years of teaching 1st grade!

Trent's last spelling test, he hasn't missed a word all year!

Reading one of the Magic Tree House books... his favorite!

We have always known that Trent was a smart boy, but it makes me so proud as his Mom that is also a good friend and a helpful student too.
Way to go Trent, I love you!

That boy has been smart all along. I'm hoping its in the genes, so my kids will be just as smart as him. :) TRENT: congratulations on your award, you are such a good boy!

It's good to know that someone likes math because I'm not a big fan. Way to go Trent! You guys have got a smart and charming little boy on your hands. He seems so sweet along with the rest. I'm jealous that you guys get to do all that fun stuff like Disneyland and Legoland, how FUN!
