Back to School
Summer break is over and we are officially "Back to School". We had such an amazing summer and I am so sad that it is over already. This year the kids started school an entire week before Darin had to return to work. I was very spoiled to have him home while the kids were away at school. Trent is a big 2nd grader this year, my sweet Trey started Kindergarten, and little Jules started another year of Tiny Tots, oh how time flies! Trey was counting down all summer, he couldn't wait to go to school. He and Trent wake up every morning on their own at 6:30 and get dressed all by themselves, they make a good team and are so cute together! Trent has been complaining that 2nd grade is too easy, he is bored already. I don't know what to do with him, he is such a fast learner. On the other hand, Trey is loving every minute of school. Everyday he has something new and exciting to tell me about his day. I had to choke back the tears when I left him his first day, which caught me by surprise. I am not usually emotional about leaving my children for a short time. But they are all growing up too fast, and I guess I'm starting to realize that I can never get back the time that has passed. I know that I am so blessed to be home with them everyday and I'm grateful that I can care for them each and every day until they start school. I am blessed to have so many treasured memories of their baby and toddler days.

Hey! This is Laura (Davies) Lewis, Erika's friend from highschool. I periodically "stalk" your blog. I just want to say that I love reading it. The way you talk about your kids is so sweet and makes me want to be a better mother to my sweet children. Anyways, thanks for the uplifting words. Your family is so cute.
I'm so bummed that I didn't have computer stuff when my kids were little! I love seeing and reading about all of your adventures. It brings back SO many fun memories from not so long ago for me. I totally used to dress my boys the same too. I still dress them the same when we go on family outings to an amusment park or something. They still totally let me at ages 14 and 12!!! LOL Great pictures and good for you for documenting these times!

I can't believe you have three kids in school! I still have two years before Cade is in Kindergarted! I will probably put him in pre school next year though. Your kids are so cute and you look HOT!! I am planning a trip to visit my family on Oct. 9-13 or 14. We'll have to get together for real this time!
