Happy Birthday Darin!

Today is Darin's Birthday.
If you ask him he'll tell you he isn't very old,
he's only half way to 64!
Happy Birthday Sweetheart!

A big THANK YOU to my mother and father in-law who took the kids for 6 hours last night so we could go out and celebrate. I gave Darin 4 different options for celebrating his birthday this year and he decided he wanted to go out, just the two of us. So we went to California Adventure for a little while, had dinner there and went on a few rides. This was the first time we've gone to Disneyland without the kids, so it was actually really relaxing and even a bit ROMANTIC. It was pretty crowded so we decided to walk around Downtown Disney and do a little window shopping. We stopped for dessert on the way home, Darin's choice of course.... slurpies from 7-eleven, isn't that so Darin?

This evening the kids and I came up with a cute scavenger hunt for Darin. He had to follow the clues to find his hidden birthday gifts all over the house and in the yard. It was so fun. Trent did all the writing, Julia and Trey helped hide the presents, and Lauren smiled and clapped with all the fun and excitement!

To the love of my life, my knight in shining armour, you are the man of my dreams. I'm so lucky you are mine forever! Thank you for being the best husband and dad ever!

We love you!

Happy Birthday Darin!

I'm glad that you and Janell were able to spend some "alone" time together. It sounds like the family part of your birthday was quite fun as well!

Thanks for being a good husband to my daughter, and a great father to my grandchildren.
