Not Scared

This morning Trey wanted to show me a bump on his finger that was bothering him.  He wasn't kidding!
So off we went to the doctor after school.

It was actually quite fun.

Here was the scene:
Boy with infected finger lying on patient bed
Boy with endless homework completely distracted by
Big Sister playing with doctors latex gloves
and Littlest one with camera

Lucky for us,
Kaiser was holding a Flu Shot clinic today, so we stood in line for that and all got vaccinated.
For the first time Trent didn't try to run away.
Julia cried.
Lauren fell for the "do you want a princess sticker?" trick
and Trey in typical Trey fashion volunteered to go first and was awarded the
"NOT SCARED" sticker.
Love that kid.

(Not Scared)

By the way, we received rave reviews from all 3 of the kids teachers today at Parent/Teacher conferences.

Trent's teacher used words like: Model student, well-rounded,  gifted, prepared to learn, beautiful homework, and all A's.  She went as far to say that she only has a student like him once every 2-3 years.

Julia's teacher described her as:  having the Salmon math gene, kind to the boy who is afraid of books (true story), excelling, right on track.

Trey's teacher said about him:  6 or 7 levels above the rest of the class in Math, ideal student, willing to do everything asked of him,  model behavior, citizen of the month!

Darin and I are so pleased with each of them and they way they are performing at school.
We felt it was an occasion to celebrate and so we all went out to a restaurant for dinner
and afterword
they each chose the perfect pumpkin to carve for Halloween.
