Oreo

We found our fish belly up this morning.

Trent scooped it up and we held a proper funeral before flushing it away.

So it seemed meant to be when a friend called a few hours later asking if we'd like a bunny.  Lauren and I feel in love with him immediately.

We welcomed our first "real" pet, (fish don't count) into the family today.

Welcome "Oreo"!

Oreo is supposed to be a low maintenance pet.  My sources have assured me that can roam free in the yard, eat grass and veggies, and his poops are so tiny I will hardly notice them.  I hope they are right.

He certainly can hide well.  Before gymnastics the children went looking for him to put him in his cage and he was no where to be found.  Scanning the yard I noticed one large hole that he could have easily escaped through.  I honestly thought we had lost him for good and unfortunately we had to leave for gymnastics and couldn't search any longer.
Trey prayed that we'd find Oreo.

We were overjoyed when we came home and found him hopping around the back yard.

Trey's prayer was answered.

When I lived in Chino, as a little girl, we had bunnies.  I remember naming the white one Snow White.  My Mother says that Jonathan and I fed her the photographs from her picture albums.

I hope my kids love having a bunny as much as I did.
