Lauren is 11 months old now. The countdown to her 1st birthday is officially ON! I've been trying not to think about it, it just gets me sad. What if she is my last baby? What if I never get to experience this again? Pretty soon she'll be toddling all over the place and won't even be a baby anymore! I don't know how people do it, how they decide to be "done" and aren't even sad about it. Maybe this means I'm not done. Hmmmm.....
Well, enough of that. I need to stay focused, just live in the moment!
Lauren is getting so curious, she spends her days exploring the house, finding fun little things to play with and investigate. Last night we were cleaning up the house, Julia and Trent were outside, Trey was in his room and I asked Darin if he had Lauren.... NO!?! It was so quiet, we couldn't hear her... so we starting looking for her...she was behind the boys bedroom door...completely fascinated by their nightlight! That is so typical of her right now. She is fascinated by EVERYTHING!
She can give kisses, wave bye-bye, clap her hands and loves playing peek-a-boo! She will imitate the sounds when I blow kisses and say "uh-oh". She says a lot of "mama-mama" and "dada-dada" and will let out lots of high pitched squeals when she is playing with her big brothers and sister. She is crawling at light speed around here. I am so surprised how quickly she can get from one place to another! If I am doing dishes or blow drying my hair she is usually standing up between my legs holding on to each one. This chubby little girl loves her baby food. She typically eats 6 jars a day. She nursed for 11 months exactly, and it was such a wonderful experience, as always. I love nursing my babies, having that special mommy time with them. Nothing compares to those bonding moments, late at night, holding her close and watching her eat. It always amazes me that my little ones can grow so fast and be so healthy by just nursing alone. Not only can this body of mine create life, but it can sustain it too. Motherhood is such a miracle! Lauren is still the happiest baby ever. She has been such a blessing to our family and we love her more than words can say.

Wow I can't believe that Lauren is already almost a year old. It is crazy how fast time passes. thanks for thinking I am cool. I actually like the snakes they are nice and tame and you only have to feed them once every week and a half. LOW MAINTENANCE! I love it.
