All Aboard! (the school bus)

I was so excited when I won the drawing to go on Julia's field trip! Darin thought it was a joke when he saw the note that read "Congratulations! You've been chosen to be a chaperone for our class trip!" He honestly couldn't believe that you had to "win" that opportunity. We had a good laugh about it.

If you ask Julia what she liked most about the field trip, she'll tell you all about going on the bus and how exciting it was to see trees and cars and buildings out of a bus window, and how when the bus turned a corner all of the kids got excited as if they were on an attraction at a theme park! It was too funny! We traveled up the street (literally, we traveled all side streets and never went on the freeway) to Victoria Gardens Cultural center's Lewis Family Playhouse where we got to see the play "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie". The play was darling and captured the attention of all of the children for an entire hour.

Julia and her friend Alana.

Kate and Drinda
(this field trip marks the 3 year anniversary of our friendship...
Drinda and I met on Trent & Emily's Kindergarten field trip 3 years ago!)

Julia inside the theater.

We had the best time. I am so grateful for good friends and family who volunteered to watch the my other 3 kiddos so I could spend this special time with Julia and her class.

I can't believe you actually win the field trip- I laughed so hard about that. Your family looks so cute- I can't believe how big everyone is getting. I love all the pictures of taking the kids to the temple- what a great idea I need to remember a few years down the line!
