Sea World
Thanks to my generous parents, Trent, Trey, Julia & I got to spend an amazing day at Sea World yesterday. This trip was in celebration of Trent, Jessica & Julia's birthdays. It was a day filled with wonder and excitement as we were able to observe, touch and feed so many beautiful animals!
Trent in front of the dolphin discovery tank. These dolphins were so playful! The one on the left even smiled for the camera! :)
Here the children are reaching out to touch the Bat Ray's... except for Julia, she wasn't so sure at first.
Grandpa bought a tray of fish and everyone got to feed the rays! Eventually Julia got really, really brave and reached her hand down into the water to feed the ray.
Trey loved touching and feeding the rays. By the time we left, his shirt was soaking wet from leaning over into the water and getting splashed by the animals.
My Mom and little sister, Jessica have been to Sea World so many times this year, they were like our own personal tour guides!
My kids and I in Shamu Stadium after watching a special show about how the the killer whales are trained. The highlight was watching the trainers teach the baby killer whale how to spin on the platform and watching the trainers cheer and clap for her for trying so hard. It totally reminded me of the way I react to my babies' first steps, it was so touching!
My Dad decided to follow the kids and convinced me to go up too! Here I am following him as we crawled through this tiny space suspended way up in the air. I was wearing my back pack and practically got stuck up there. It was hilarious, seriously funny.
Dad finally got smart and took the bridge instead. We had way too much fun up there trying to keep up with the kids. Funny that even with our best efforts we totally lost them and ended up running around by ourselves.
We ended the day by riding on flying elmo fish. Each flying fish was designed as an animal, i.e. dog, pig, cat. I thought they were the silliest looking things ever. Elmo's face, with an animal body and a fish tail... who came up with that?
