Before leaving San Diego we wanted to take the kids to visit the San Diego Temple. I remember stopping here during it's construction with my parents and brothers and sisters every time we were in San Diego. I remember attending the open house as a teenager and being in awe of it's beauty and longing to return some day. I remember the first time I attended the temple as an adult, it was here, in the San Diego Temple. I have many beautiful memories of my sister's wedding and my cousin's weddings here, which make it even more so, a very special and sacred place to me. We were fortunate that 2 sister missionaries were outside and wanted to share pictures of the inside of the temple with the children, which they loved! They were especially excited to find out that there once was a little lizard who lived inside the atrium at the top!
