I'm a BIG GIRL now!

You may have noticed,
and Lauren may have already told you,
that she got her "piers pierced" last week.

My baby girl wants to be a "big girl" now. She reminds me every day of all the "big girl" things she wants to do and can do.

She was excited about it, even after I explained that it was going to hurt, and I felt like it was time (again).

Lauren had to have the piercings done one at a time, but I knew she would be fine. When she received her shots a few months ago she didn't even flinch or cry. There were a few tears with the ears, but nothing a sucker couldn't heal.


Lauren walked out of Claire's with a sucker in one hand, her "big girl bag" in another and with an earring in each of her little ears.

Lauren was so attached to this "big girl bag" that it came with us to lunch and even took a nap with her. The bag was actually carried around all the rest of the evening and part of the next day too. It was really fun sharing this experience with Lauren and watching her excitement about another one of her big girl adventures.
Although, I would be the happiest mother in the world if I could keep this one little forever. Love, love, love her!
