ME!
Lately, I've read some fun blog posts where Mom's and Dad's have shared the events of their day, from sun up to sun down. I find each post extremely amusing and decided that today I would do the same. I'm thinking that years down the road I will look back and appreciate that I took the time to do this. So just for the record, here is my day:
4.22.09
7:05 am- Trent is asking me to get his clothes out, drag self out of bed five minutes late. Lay out outfits and encourage Trey to get up.
7:20 am- Make breakfast. Get lots of "help" from Miss Julia. Scrambled eggs & yogurt today.
Pray with Daddy, give hugs and kisses and send him out the door. Assemble Trent's lunch.
Make oatmeal for self, eat. Tie Trey's shoes. Brush boys hair while they brush their teeth.
7:40 am- Run in room and get self dressed. It's a gym day, so 5 minutes is all I need.
7:45 am- Wake up sleepy Lauren, get all four children in the car and take boys to school.
7:55 am- Gas tank is on empty (Daddy drove the van last night, I NEVER let the gas tank get this low, for obvious reasons) Pray that we'll make it to the gas station.
8:00 am- Get gas, Julia helps.
8:05 am- Change Lauren's diaper (last one, mental note, need diapers ASAP!) and get her dressed.
Do both girls hair. Feed Lauren oatmeal and yogurt.
Notice message from Wendi on machine. She is Trent's substitute teacher today... he forgot his lunch...put it in van to drop off later.
8:25 am- Drop off girls at Elise's and head to the gym.
8:30 am- Work out. My favorite class. Run, lift, jump, lift, lunge, lift, box, lift, sweat, sweat, sweat. Feel great!
9:45 am- Pick up girls, offer to take Elise's kids for the afternoon. Quick stop at grocery store. Short list: Diapers, milk, eggs, oatmeal. Free cookies for kids... I love the bakery :)
Take forgotten lunch to school.
10:15 am- Home. Play "tea party" and dress up with girls.
10:45 am- breakfast dishes, make beds, pick up.
11:00 am- check email, read updated blogs. Become inspired to do this post.
11:15 am- Pick up Trey. Take in happiest face in the world when he sees Joshie in the van.
11:25 am- Clean up girls room.
Clean diaper for Lauren. Lay her down for morning nap.
11:40 am- Make tent with Julia and Meli. Turn on requested "Max & Ruby". Happy girls.
Trey and Joshie are playing Pokemon stadium... girls are watching TV.
11:50 am- Speed through my one minute "shower" if you can call it that.
Dress, make-up, hair... much better.
12:15 pm- "Max & Ruby"over. "Dora" is requested. Check guide. Ah ha! Dora just started! It's my lucky day.
Take time for personal scripture study and prayer. Enjoy reflecting on Sunday's lesson and find inspiration in the words of apostles and prophets. Feel grateful, blessed.
12:40 pm- Hungry kids. Lunch time. Hot dogs, applesauce and strawberries.
Make self a turkey sandwich and have a cutie too.
1:00 pm- Dress Julia for dance class. Wake Lauren. Take friends home.
1:20 pm- Heel, push, toe, step. Tap, tap, tap. Plie, shase, releve. Practice recital routines... so cute!
Feed Lauren her lunch.

Chat with Joanna and Diane. Appreciate adult conversation and free make-up (thanks Diane!)
2:30 pm- Snacks for all.
Girls play in above mentioned tent, until, oh no! Julia gets hit on head by heavy toy acting as weight for tent blankets. Crying, tears, frozen peas on head, hugs, kisses, all better.
All children help Mom do surgery on above mentioned toy. Pulling, pushing, little hands reaching, even Lauren got her little hand in there! Finally, balls are flying, Lauren is happy, laughing, smiling, playing.
3:00 pm- Homework with boys. Reading, writing, multiplying, spelling.
Read with Trent.
Read with Trey and Julia, while Lauren climbs, crawls, lays and runs all around me.
4:00 pm- Play with Lauren. Pink balloon, kick in, catch in, throw it. Help her use her words and sounds, "thank you", "uh oh", "hi", "nose". Wet kisses, squishy hugs, lots of love for my baby girl.

7:00 pm- Kiss hubby good-bye. He's off to church.
Boy's shower, girls bath. Jammies.
7:30 pm- Walk out to kitchen and find Trent and Trey have cleared the table and are wiping it down. They yell "SURPRISE!" My heart melts. I have the best kids.

*I've decided I do way too much in a day to keep track. Rarely do I spend a long period of time doing one thing. So much goes into running a home and raising a family. I dedicate this post to all the Mom's out there, working hard and loving it as much as I do!

Ha Ha Ha...I dont know the last time that I have read a blog entry that is that long, but I totally read every word, SO CUTE AND FUN and nice to know I am not the only one who has a crazy, busy, insane life that never ends. LOVE IT!
Good job sis- and you thought your day was going to be boring! Show the hubby that and he will realize how much you do in one day. Love ya! See you tomorrow.
You will be so glad you have that! I did one last summer and it's fun to go back and remember what life was like back then- even if it was only a few months ago.
You're a good (busy) mom and your kids are darling!
Thank you for sharing....it makes me tired reading it...and living it too! You are a great Mom and I appreciate being inspired from Moms like you!
Oh my word. What a day. I am impressed and think you are a VERY fun Mom. Wow.
