Trey's Birthday Weekend
Trey celebrated his birthday over Easter weekend. With the business of the holiday, we decided to keep things simple by having a small party at McDonald's with a few friends after school on Friday. It was a perfect idea; little planning, lots of food and fun for the kids. The hardest part was deciding who to invite! Trey has SO MANY FRIENDS! He would have invited all of his cousins, his entire kindergarten class and primary class if I would have let him. We narrowed it down to just 10. Here's the cheerful bunch.
10 kids, 10 happy meals, 10 balloons weighed down with M&M's as party favors & store-bought frosted brownie bites
= the easiest and least expensive birthday party I've ever thrown!

We spent Trey's actual birthday in San Diego celebrating Easter with family. He LOVED that! Later he asked if we could go to Grandpa Mark's every year for his birthday. He just thought it was so special.
Trey was thrilled to get his very own boogie board. He is so excited to go out in the waves with Daddy and Trent.
Julia and I made him a Pokemon blanket, which he has slept with every night since.
On our way home that evening, we stopped at Red Robin to redeem his free kids meal and have dinner as a family. It ended up being a very special day for a very special little boy.
