Trent climbed into the van today after school and said "Mmmm, it smells like sunblock in here! (strange, cuz no one was wearing any) Can we go swimming!?"
I thought to myself, "what a little genius, that is just what I need!". Truthfully, I think the Spirit prompted my sweet son to get me out of the house. I was definitely needing some relaxation outdoors and the kids love being outside, especially in the evening.
So we called up daddy who was finishing up at work and arranged to meet him at Joanna and Kirk's pool.
Let's just say I won't be surprised if my little Salmon's sprout gills by the end of the summer. They love swimming!
I gave Trey a few "refresher courses" and Julia is ready to get in the water floaty free this year! Woo hoo! This will be the first time in 6 years that I haven't had to blow up those things. Both Trey and Julia seem a little old to be just learning to swim; Trent wasn't even 3 yet when he was full on swimming! Then again, Trent seems to do everything early (except loosing teeth... which is a whole other post).
Trey following in Trent's footsteps
Nice toe-touch Trey!
And here's our little love bug Lauren who is all smiles in the water.

I am so glad Darin chose a career that gives us lots of family time. He's been getting home by 3:00 every day now that testing is over. It's SO NICE! Guess it helps balance out all the bishopbric commitments he has now. We are counting down until schools out and summer break officially starts. More swimming, more beach trips, and so many fun things planned to do with the kids. I can't wait! Summer vacation here we come!

Glad you had a good time. You can borrow our pool anytime you'd like. Make our association fees worth it :) Did Julia really swim w/o floaties? If so, can she talk to Capri about it-please!!!
Fun day at the pool. You wont see me in a swim suit this summer. Not so cute right now! hehehe...
You are so lucky to have your man home, and even nicer that he wants to go out and do stuff with you. When Scott gets home he wants to sleep since he is rarely here. Enjoy some fun family time for me too!!!
HEY GIRLY! Sorry I started all over! I am here all over again! ;)
