9 Years Later...

That's right! Darin and I celebrated our 9th Wedding anniversary on Wednesday, March 12th. I can't help but reflect on each of the past 9 years and how much more I love my hubby with each passing year. I am so proud of how far we've come and all that we've accomplished together. We decided to splurge and have dinner at The Sycamore Inn on Friday. It was totally worth it! As we left the restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga we happened to pass by the office where Darin worked during college and found ourselves reminiscing about the past.

It's fun to remember how we started out as newlyweds... here are a few fun facts that make us laugh!

1. Our first apartment was 1 bedroom, 500 square feet and cost $525/month!
2. We had to have our parents co-sign so we could qualify!
3. We lived there for two and a half years (5 days before Trent was born!).
4. I worked part time at an Insurance office making $11/hour and Darin was worked part time as a Typesetter for his Uncle's print shop making $10/hour. We thought we made pretty good money :)
5. We went to school (CSUSB) twice a week...all day...together, and somehow were able to pay cash for both of our tuition fees
6. We had only one car for two and a half years. It was a gold, 87 Honda Accord, the kind with the flip up lights.
7. I crashed the car twice (my fault) and we couldn't afford to fix it. The whole front left side was smashed in... that flip up light never flipped again. So not only did we drive an 87, gold Honda, but it was smashed up too! We named it "one-eyed Sammy"
8. Darin had a full head of hair, and I had bangs, the short kind that you curl under! Ha ha!
9. We ate on a card table.
10. We didn't have a dishwasher, actually, we did, me!
11. We went to our parent's house to do our laundry
12. It took us a year to save up for our first computer that we paid $1,200 for!
